Summer at Adventures In Learning aims to offer children as much outdoor playtime, freedom and fun as we can possibly squeeze into each day. The pine grove provides some needed shade and we will fill it with water tables, fort building materials, mud kitchen materials, costumes, art opportunities, outdoor musical instruments, and more. We have our new playgrounds available for climbing, swinging and sliding. Planned themed weeks serve as a springboard for the children to carry as far as their collective interests take them. Teachers maintain enough structure to give children the ease and security that comes with predictability and sprinkle early learning standards everywhere in the environment. When children are busy playing in a carefully designed environment, learning happens naturally. Campers will also sign out of childcare for field trips on-site here at Saco Valley Gymnastics for gymnastics, obstacle course-based fitness, and kinesthetic learning fun.
